McDonald's Iced Coffee Misses

Happy about my last visit, I used my coupon again to try the other two flavors, caramel and vanilla. This time I went to a McDonald's with a nice window to the kitchen and got a full view of what goes on behind the scenes.
To make a cup of iced coffee, a person has to scoop a lot of ice to fill the cup, add milk from the espresso machine, add syrup, get coffee from the iced coffee fountain, and finally stir manually with a spoon. That's a lot of steps. Right now it's probably the worst time to be doing this because in Los Angeles, everyone is using their coupons to try the iced coffee. Adding to that, it seemed that only the restaurant manager was trained to do this stuff. A few times, I saw several employees stood there hopelessly waiting for direction. In the end the restaurant manager had to take this all on himself. Poor guy. I waited for 20 minutes to get 2 cups of iced coffee. Poor me...

I don't know if it's the chaos or just the flavors are not that good. The caramel is a bit too bitter and just tasted generally weird or too chemically. The vanilla is light on vanilla taste but strikes a good balance with the coffee. At first the coffee taste was a little too strong but tasted good after it got diluted a bit. My fiancée said both flavors are too sweet.
